Camperdown Wildlife Centre
Recommended for Kids
The Camperdown Wildlife Centre has one hundred species of native Scottish and European wildlife. There are the impressive brown bears, elegant lynx, amazing arctic foxes, and other more unusual species, such as Britain's rarest mammal; the Pine Marten.
Throughout the summer months, there are also opportunities to see the keepers feeding the animals. There are regular feeding times for some of the animals, such as the otters, bears, bats and wolves. Times of these animal feedings are displayed at the entrance of the Wildlife Centre daily. All the special events are advertised well in advance, so look out for dates and details in your walkabout map and the local press, or ask at the souvenir shop for extra information.
Throughout the year, special events are held at the Wildlife Centre. These can be the popular "Animal Handling" or "Animal Feeding Days", when you can get much closer to some of our more friendly animals, help with the feeding and even hold some of the smaller ones.
